Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional

Over the last few years, I've stopped being so excited about my birthday.  I've somehow convinced myself that grown-ups don't act like that.

And now I've decided that I don't want to be a grown-up.  I'm super-duper mondo excited about my birthday this year.  I happen to know that the bulk of my presents will be crochet-related, including three magazine subscriptions I've been wanting for a while.

Though my birthday isn't for a couple of weeks yet, the festivities start this weekend.  Bring on the yarn!!
